Management Accountant
Are you a highly numerate and detail-oriented individual with a background in manufacturing and a focus on operating cost accounting? Our client, a well-established manufacturing organisation based in Tamworth, is seeking a Management Accountant to join their team. With a competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £55,000 per year, this is a permanent full-time position offering hybrid working opportunities.
As the Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing our client's financial activities by providing timely and accurate management accounts. Reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:
- Hands-on management of operational and transactional activities, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external standards.
- Producing monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations and accruals/prepayment schedules.
- Reconciling control accounts and managing accounting entries for inventory.
- Overseeing ledgers and managing the VAT process, including submission of monthly returns.
- Daily cashflow management.
- Providing cover for the Financial Controller - Finance and Accounting.
- Conducting ad-hoc investigations and reporting as required.
To excel in this role, you should be ACCA/CIMA Qualified, possess experience in manufacturing and operating cost accounting, and have a strong background in using ERP systems. As a self-starter, you should have excellent time management skills and be highly IT literate. Additionally, you will thrive as part of a team, with a strong focus on business performance.
