Job Description for Bookkeeper:Our client has the opportunity for a bookkeeper to join their team in a beautiful rural area of Redditch. This is a standalone position so previous experience within SME as a bookkeeper, accounts assistant or senior accounts assistant is essential. The role is office-based Monday-Friday 38.5 hours per week with a salary of £27-33,000 depending on experience. Must have own transport for this position due to the location of the role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Credit control, via invoicing, monthly statements & chasing overdue invoices
- Balance sheet reconciliations to include bank accounts.
- Preparation of VAT Returns for review
- Process customer invoicing & creditor payments
- Assist in the overall preparation & presentation of quarterly & annual accounts
- Check customer ID and contracts
- Process card payments
- Payment allocation on Sage
- Resolve customer queries on telephone & email
- Support the Account Manager as required
KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES - Strong Organiser & Multi-Tasker
- Problem solving and 'can do' approach
- Attention to detail - meticulous, thorough, and right first-time mentality
- Knowledge of Sage 50 is advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently.
