Duties & Requirements of Warehouse Operative
· Picking orders, labelling of goods, and filling relevant paperwork out accurately.
· Loading/unloading pallets and stacking away in warehouse accurately.
· Physically demanding work at times although forklift truck and hand trucks etc are always available for your use.
· To ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling policy.
· Carry out stock counts as and when required and take part in the annual stock take.
· Assist in the unloading of containers.
· Preparing stock on pallets ready for despatch, pallet wrapping and labelling goods for dispatch in accordance with company procedure.
· Ensuring the warehouse is kept clean and tidy – we have a “tidy as you go” policy.
· Able to accurately complete daily paperwork and count stock items / book in deliveries.
· Booking in of deliveries to include (Checking for damaged or missing items).
· An understanding of health and safety requirements and be happy to adhere to current policies around the warehouse.
· Flexible approach to duties and tasks.
· Friendly, approachable manner – as you will be liaising with the office staff daily. All paperwork once booked in, will be sent by yourself to the various departments.
· General warehouse duties and general housekeeping of the warehouse and surrounding areas.
· Excellent Timekeeping and attendance record essential.
· Fluent English.
· Maths GCSE – Grade C or above.
· Must be physically fit – some products are up to 20kg in weight.
· You must be able to work well as part of the team and well on your own initiative when required.
· Possess good communication skills and be able to deal with situations as they arise in a professional manner.
· Be able to provide us with references which will be obtained prior to job offer and eligibility to work and live within the UK.
· Full driver’s license
· Own transport
· Previous warehouse experience (essential)
· Operating a FLT Truck around a busy warehouse and dispatch areas. Counterbalance FLT certificate would need to be current.
· DBS check if your application is successful.
· If successful, all previous references would be checked, and current Counterbalance certificate requested by our main office.

· £11 per hour
· Monday to Thursday 8am to 3.30pm Friday 8am to 12.30pm
