£9.81 basic hourly rate with enhancements up to £14.90 for qualifying shifts along with a generous mileage remuneration based on HMRC mileage allowances and paid holiday entitlement. With a guaranteed 35 hours per week, working hours provided in advance.

The Rapid Response Service is a joint initiative between Shropshire Council and Shropshire Community Health Trust working in partnership to provide rapid assessment, treatment, and care to stabilise and support an acute episode of ill health or a deteriorating chronic condition that shows signs of heading towards a crisis.

The focus is to avoid unnecessary hospital admissions and safely support people in their own home utilising a person centred, strength and asset-based approach.

START (Rapid Response) operates 7 days a week, weekends and Bank Holidays and our operating hours are 7am – 10pm. On-call support is provided during unsociable hours and for monitoring lone working.

START (Rapid Response) is looking for new team members who are caring and compassionate however, experience of providing care either formally or informally is desirable but not essential as START (Rapid Response) is a values-based team.

We offer an extensive, person-centred induction programme, on-going training, and opportunities for personal development.

An electronic homecare monitoring system is used therefore IT knowledge is desirable but not essential.

Applicants must hold a current driving licence and have their own transport as START (Rapid Response) operates a countywide service.

We supply uniforms, personal protective equipment along with other items to ensure your safety and well-being.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team alongside the reablement element of the START Team.

As part of your role, you may be required to carry out manual handling duties involving the handling and moving of Service Users in accordance with the Manual Handling Operating Regulations.  To comply with Directorate Standards applicants must be a minimum of age 18 to undertake personal care work.
