Operations Manager     

Salary: PO13 (Scale points 39 – 41) - £41,675 - £43,662

Hours: Full-time

Contract Type: Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to take responsibility for the facilities management of School premises, health & safety and administrative functions.  Reporting to the Headteacher, the post holder will be supported by school administrative and site staff to ensure these functions operate effectively and efficiently and support School development plan and objectives.

This is an important role within the school and in addition to the responsibilities outlined above will be expected to manage the budget for premises and maintenance costs and oversee management of externally contracted services for cleaning, grounds maintenance and catering, ensuring any issues are reported and resolved with contractors.  The Marches School aims to be at the heart of the local community and the Operations Manager will be responsible for promoting the use of its facilities as well as oversee fundraising activity to generate income and promote the profile of the school.

Candidates should be educated to NVQ Level 5 and hold a current first aid qualification.  Formal facilities management and health & safety qualifications are desirable.
