New Chapters Fostercare is an “Outstanding” Ofsted rated Independent Fostering Agency that provides a therapeutic approach to parenting and building relationships. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Fostering Family Support Worker to join our team located in Upton Magna, Shrewsbury. We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting families who foster children who have experienced trauma and enable the agency to fulfil its mission: to provide a New Chapter for every child and a place to call home.

As a valued member of the team you will be able to engage and build relationships with all members of the fostering family and think creatively about how you can do this to the level of understanding and abilities of the children. You will be able to respond to the needs of fostering families who may be experiencing crisis, arrange and consult with children and young people about future developments for the agency and put forward new ideas as well as take direction. You will work closely with other professionals and be a part of a multi-disciplinary team where you will develop collaborative relationships. You will manage your own workload, be able to work independently and as a part of the team and have the ability to prioritise work that supports stability for families.

This represents a great opportunity to join a well-established and growing company with a commitment to career development. All necessary training on systems, processes and our therapeutic model will be provided via a comprehensive Induction.

If you are as passionate as us about helping vulnerable children and young people have the future they deserve then we would love to hear from you. Could you be the next member of our growing family? If so we would welcome an application from you.
