Community Engagement Manager (Cosford)
£27,500 per annum
The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity, with two sister sites at London and Cosford. RAF Museum Enterprises Ltd is the trading arm of the RAF Museum with all profits gift-aided to the Museum to support its charitable activities. Our purpose is to share the RAF story, past, present and future - using the stories of its people and our collections in order to engage, inform and inspire everyone. Our overall vision is to inspire everyone with the RAF story – the people who shape it and its place in our lives.
The RAF Museum is recruiting for a new role of Community Engagement Manager to join our team to support delivery of the ‘Museum Strategy 2030’.
The candidate must have lived experience or working knowledge of the West Midlands region and its diverse communities.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting the interests and needs of local people. The post holder will build partnerships within our local communities and deliver projects, activities and resources which share the RAF story and offer access for all. The post holder will demonstrate an understanding of the potential of museum collections to deliver social impact with an enthusiastic and flexible approach.
The role will be based at our Cosford site but the successful candidate will spend much of their time out in our local communities. The post holder will be expected to travel between our sites and to other locations, as and when the role requires it.
