Commercial Administrator and Controller– SAP Backfill


General Duties

To provide support within the Customer Service and Site Operations Department under the management of the Non-Lead Acid Team Manager and the Site Operations Manager.

Specific Tasks – Customer Service

  • Ability to use the main components of Microsoft Office software and the order processing system.
  • To prepare statistics for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as necessary.
  • To be the first point of contact for day-to-day issues.
  • To answer the incoming calls as required.
  • To carry out general sales office tasks including filing and record keeping.
  • To provide secondary cover for colleagues as directed by the Senior Commercial Administrator/Non-Lead Acid Team Manager.
  • Liaise between customers and other internal departments to answer and progress enquiries.
  • Maintain enough waste knowledge to be able to provide quotations and advice to customers.
  • Process customer collection orders.
  • Arrange invoices and payments when necessary.
  • Provide cover for tasks as stipulated by the Senior Commercial Administrator/Non-Lead Acid Team Manager during holiday or absence periods.
  • Manage personal outlook inbox, respond to enquiries, and take any relevant actions within a timely manner
  • Check the enquiries inbox. add collections in to, respond to customer enquiries and any other issues relating to the enquiry’s inbox accordingly.


Specific Tasks – Operations

  • Undertake the TFS applications for the company as well as maintaining day to day shipments for import and export
  • Provide Customs Control Supervision
  • Assist in Control Material Acceptance and Despatches
  • Provide Inventory Control
  • Document procurement for all shipment
  • Be Customer Interfacing
  • Undertake Control Form acceptance
  • Liaise with the Commercial department for scheduling of despatched of sorted material
  • Manage and control of non-battery waste material
  • Undertake the ABE/ABTO licence application annually
