  • Long established metal forming business, based in the heart of the Black Country.
  • Capability to offer a wide variety of in-house machining and mill services.

    Duties & Requirements of CNC Programmer

  • Competent to write and edit programs either offline using CAD/CAM or using the machines controller
  • Able to interpret and work to engineering drawings
  • Ability to work to close tolerances
  • Extensive experience of CNC turning (milling an advantage but not essential)
  • Familiar with different materials: aluminium, tool steels, Inconel
  • Understanding of heat treatments and surface coating processes
  • Able to program, set, run operations on a variety of machines
  • Capable of inspecting own work
  • Mechanical Engineering Qualifications: City & Guilds, ONC, HNC
  • A thorough understanding of FANUC control systems
  • Experience of ONECNC or other CAM packages
  • Strong understanding of the principles of machine setting, clamping methods and tool setting
  • Able to work in accordance with current Health and Safety rules and regulations
  • Experience of Turn/Mill machines an advantage

    Benefits of CNC Programmer

  • Monday to Thursday 6am to 4pm
  • Up to £35,000 per annum DOE
  • Overtime available
