CNC Machinist/Development Engineer

Manufacturers and suppliers of components and assemblies for use within both industrial and analytical equipment.
A large portion of the products have a range of uses in the Pharmaceutical and food safety sectors.
Duties of CNC Machinist/Development Engineer
Setting and machining of components for use in assemblies built on site and/or delivered directly to the end users.
Working with a variety of Milling machines and VMC's.
Develop NPI processes throughout the machine shop.
Program using Heidenhain.
Have a good understanding of lean/6S.
Experience of NPI processes throughout a machine shop environment.
Make appropriate modifications to programs generated with the CAD/CAM system.
Able to select and recommend the correct tooling to achieve the most efficient machining method.
General housekeeping of machine and area of work.
Requirements of CNC Machinist/Development Engineer
Must have a sound working knowledge of Heidenhain control systems for programming purposes.
CAD/CAM knowledge - Knowledge of FeatureCAM would be advantageous.
Good understanding of QCP's and be able to structure programs to suit QCP requirements.
Proven experience of working with fairly high tolerance components.
Proven experience of working with Milling/VMC machines.

39 hours working week.
Flexible start and finish 07:30/08:00 - 16:30/17:30 Monday to Thursday - 1pm finish on a Friday.
All overtime paid at 1.5 x base rate.
