Cleaning and Mastic Operative

Our client has successfully positioned itself, as one of the leading organisations in the UK’s off-site manufacturing and construction market; having an enviable portfolio of projects across hotels, residential and student accommodation.

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning bathroom pods and modular pods

• Handling relevant chemicals

• Identifying defects, issues and faults and liaising with Quality Technicians

• Silicone all relevant seams within the pods, effectively

• Using tools e.g. manual and powered mastic guns, mastic pens, spatulas and hoovers

• Be able to work at height e.g. using steps and A-frame ladders

• Report all quality/design problems to the Production Supervisor

• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health and Safety and other relevant legislation in addition to company Risk Assessment and Procedures

• Ensure that all works are manufactured in accordance with drawings and specifications

• Ensure housekeeping standards are kept at the level required

• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with company quality systems and checks

 

Experience and Knowledge required:

• Strong team player

• Ability to take direction and to ask questions if unsure

• Punctual and reliable

• A basic understanding of cleaning materials

• Knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations)

• Previous experience using silicon or snagging in employment

• Working at Height training certificate (preferred, but not essential)
