Job Description

Hourly rate of pay is £9.44 per hour, increasing to £9.63 per hour following a successful six-month probationary review.


We offer a generous benefits package which includes a fully funded training programme, including a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and sports facilities customer service practices. In addition, we offer free lunch whilst on duty, access to sporting facilities and onsite parking. 


We have various hours available, which can be discussed at interview stage.  Hours of work will include some early evenings and weekend shifts.

Our Leisure Assistants play a really important role in ensuring our pupils and members have a safe and enjoyable time utilising our Cricket centre, Swimming pool, Sports Hall, Synthetic Pitches, Fitness Suite and Racquets Facilities.

The role requires excellent attention to detail, an engaging personality and the ability to complete an NPLQ qualification. Working within a fun and vibrant environment we are looking for a team player with bags of enthusiasm. You’ll be surrounded by friendly and passionate colleagues working together to create an outstanding experience for our pupils and members.

Essential Training will be provided during an NPLQ course running from Monday 1st August to Saturday 6th August 2022.
