This is an important role supporting the Food and Beverage offer at the Anstice, a newly refurbished community building in the centre of Madeley, Telford.
We need a dynamic and capable person to take responsibility for the day to day running of the Anstice Café, to run the Ballroom Bar upstairs when required for a variety of events, and generally be a key person in this friendly and committed team.
You need to be flexible, caring, hard-working and committed to providing a quality service to the local community.
You will be able to work on your own initiative and have a proven record of working in both bar and café environments.
You need to be able to manage teams of staff and volunteers, often together, and the work can be physically demanding.
You will be someone who enjoys working with people from all walks of life, loves to have variety in their work and can rise to the challenge of a busy schedule.
Your weekly work would range from opening the café, preparing for the day ahead, to running a busy bar in our beautiful ballroom, for maybe a 50th birthday party, or live music event.
In return we offer workplace pension, flexible working hours, paid holidays, in-house discount and a starting rate of £12 an hour.
The position would start at 30 hours per week with extra hours as required.
Minimum qualification would be Food Hygiene level 2, but a personal licence for bar work would be a distinct advantage.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a beautiful heritage building in the heart of the Community, and if you think you could be the new member of our friendly and committed team, please send your CV together with a covering letter explaining why you are the person we are looking for to:
